Mr. John Southworth
I cannot ever recall being this excited about the beginning of a school year. After six years as an Assistant Principal at Beadle Middle School, I am fortunate to begin this year as the second Principal of Beadle Middle School. I will build upon the excellent traditions and foundation created by our staff and Mrs. Nancy Johnston. As I begin my tenth year in Millard Public Schools, I often reflect on how we have grown at Beadle. Seven years ago, we started with roughly 330 students in all three grade levels. In 2007-2008, our student population is nearly 800 with 303 in sixth grade alone! We have some significant challenges ahead of us, but I am confident that we will be successful in meeting those challenges. Beadle Middle School is a great place for children to learn, grow and reach their potential. Our staff is dedicated to making Beadle the best middle school in an excellent school district. I am proud to be an educator and look forward to working with our school community to guarantee student success. |

I am thrilled to be a Beadle Bulldog and look forward to a great year. My past eight years have been at the high school and middle school level in a neighboring district teaching math and discipline. Although this is my first year as assistant principal at Beadle, I feel right at home. It’s exciting to be a member of the Beadle Community. In 1998 I earned my BS in mathematics from UNL and in 2003 I earned my MS in educational administration. I am currently working on my doctorate in educational administration. |

It’s my honor to be part of the awesome staff at Beadle Middle School. Middle school is an exciting and growth filled time for young people. It’s amazing to work with young people as they begin to explore and develop their talents and strengths. Prior to coming to Beadle, I spent 18 years working with high school students. I was a world language teacher for 6 years and a guidance counselor for 12 years. These experiences have helped me understand the types of knowledge, skills, and behaviors that students need to be develop while in middle school in order to thrive in their future educational settings.
