Pictures From The Challenge

During Bulldog Block on May 21st, the fifteen Big Dawg award recipients from 7 East competed in six events against the fifteen Big Dawg award recipients from 7 West in the “First Ever 7th Grade Big Dawg Challenge.” Each month throughout the school year, students were nominated by their classmates for showing strength in the particular Asset category (relating to the 40 Developmental Assets) that the students were learning about that month in Bulldog Block. From those nominations, four 7th graders were chosen as the award recipients and announced during the end-of-the month awards ceremony. The “Big Dawg Challenge” was a reward for all of the tremendous work the 7th graders have done this year with their work in Bulldog Block and on their personal development with the Assets. It was a wonderful showing of school engagement (Asset #22) & a caring school climate (Asset #5). It was a great success!
