PROGRESS REPORTS

Hexter Six Progress Reports were mailed today, Friday, May 9th.

CHANGES IN HONOR NIGHT AWARDS

In the past, Beadle has always used the mid hexter grades to determine GPA and awards for the sixth hexter.  This year we will not be able to use mid hexter grades due to time restrictions.  Honor Nights will reflect awards received from hexter one through hexter five.  Hexter six grades will help determine future awards for our current sixth and seventh grade students.

2008 EIGHTH GRADE CLASS PICTURE

On Monday, May 12th, eighth grade students will have a Panoramic Class Picture taken by Full Field at 7:45 am.    Pictures will be available for purchase on Tuesday, May 13th during lunch.

Students may purchase pictures directly from Full Field by cash or checks made out to Full Field.  The cost for both the Large Formal Class Picture and the Small Fun Picture will be $25.00.  The cost for just the Large Formal Class Picture is $20.00.

LUNCH ACCOUNT BALANCES

The school year is coming to an end.  All negative balances on lunch accounts must be paid in full by Monday, May 19th.  Millard Public Schools makes no provision in its guidelines for students to charge lunch.  In an emergency situation, BMS will allow a one time only charge, but this must be paid the next school day.  If you have a problem with a negative balance that cannot be paid in full by May 19th, feel free to contact BMS Food Service Manager Ginny Maus at 715-6131.

LIBRARY BOOKS DUE

All library books are due by Friday, May 16th.  Students are still welcome to use materials in our Information Center after that date.  Thank you for helping us to maintain a quality library collection for our students.

FIRST STUDENT BUS SERVICE

First Student will provide a parent pay bus program for all Millard Middle School students who do not qualify for the partial pay ticket program.  This program is also available for all Millard High School students.  Be advised that we are unable to transport across school zone boundary lines.  For example, if your area is zoned as Russell Middle School, we are unable to transport your student to Beadle Middle School or if your area is zoned as Millard West High School, we are unable to transport your student to Millard North High School.

Applications will be accepted up to July 31, 2008.  After July 31st the routes will be written based upon the applications and payments received and there is no guarantee that stops can be added from applications received after that date.  Application form containing costs is available in the BMS office.  Please call First Student at 896-0142 with any questions.

SPIRIT NIGHT AT RED ROBIN

Come in support of Beadle Middle School at Red Robin on 180th and Center on Thursday, May 15th.  From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. mention you are from Beadle and Red Robin will donate 10% of our proceeds to Beadle.

PLEASE PICK UP YOUR PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES FROM THE HEALTH ROOM

If your child has any prescription medicine at school, the medicine will need to be picked up by an adult on or by Friday, May 30th.  According to district policy, these prescription medicines cannot be given to your child to take home.  However, non-prescription medication will be sent home with your child.  Please watch for these.  Any medication not picked up will be destroyed.  If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Sharon Brisson, Beadle nurse, at 715-6105.

2008-2009 SEVENTH GRADE PHYSICALS

Nebraska Law requires every seventh grade student to have either a doctor’s physical or waiver signed by you before entering seventh grade in August.  If your child will be participating in sports, they are required to have a physical.  We highly encourage you to schedule your appointments at this time so the requirement is completed before the first day of school.  A packet containing all physical forms along with information about next year will be mailed by mid June.  If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Sharon Brisson-Schnitker, Beadle nurse at 715-6105.

LOST AND FOUND

We have a large collection of lost and found items in the office.  All items not claimed by the end of the school year will be donated to charity.
