Mrs. Klesitz – Fifth Grade Band Instructor

Hello!  I’m Mrs. Klesitz, Cather’s Fifth Grade Band Instructor.  After beginning my teaching career with one year in my home state of Iowa, I taught in New Jersey for nine years.  After that I taught Vocal Music for two years and Band for seven years at Cather. I returned to Cather in 2007. It’s great to be back!  My other schools are Cody, Harvey Oaks and Montclair.

I enjoy sharing the enriching gift of music with students, as I help them discover and develop their talents.  One of the highlights of the year is providing the opportunity for Band students to learn and play “The Nebraska Fight Song” and two “Go Big Red!” Cheers.

My education includes a Master of Music Education degree from the University of South Dakota with a double major in Instrumental and Vocal Music.  Please e-mail if you would like to know more about the Band program or have any questions.
