Maverick is a certified Edu-PUP trained through Domesti-PUPS therapy certification program with his owner, one of our sixth grade teachers, Ms. Sara Wiese. Animals in the classroom bring a renewed inspiration and excitement to the learning process. They can empower students and help develop self- esteem, responsibility, motivation, self-discipline, and communication skills.
At Central Middle School, Maverick helps students acquire developmental assets, such as a caring and responsibility. As a constant unconditionally loving part of our school, he also promotes a positive school environment.
