- Students may find places on a map of Omaha and calculate the distance between places (such as between Cody Elementary and UNO) and choose a route. They can estimate the time and distance of the trip. Then use Yahoo! City Map to find the actual distance and the route chosen by the computer. Discussions can include why different routes may be used, or why it may take longer to get somewhere depending on the time of day.
Communication:
- Students may communicate by email with other students within Omaha, other cities, or farm communities to discuss differences and similarities
