Services Nebraska Enrollment Option Program Introduction The Nebraska Enrollment Option Program started with the 1990/91 school year. Nebraska law enables any Nebraska student, K-12, to option out of the district where they reside and attend a school in a Nebraska public school district in which the student does not reside. This option is only available once to each student prior to graduation unless the student relocates to a different resident school district or the option school district merges with another district. Please refer to the Enrollment Option Rules for the Millard Public Schools policy on the Nebraska Option Enrollment Program. Schools or Programs Closed to Enrollment OptionDue to projected enrollment for 2004/2005, some schools and programs are closed to the Enrollment Program for the 2004/2005 school year. To review the closed programs, refer to Schools or Programs Closed to Enrollment Option. Application DeadlinesWhen completing applications for the Enrollment Option Program, applicants should be aware of the following dates:
Applications submitted after the March 15 deadline must be accompanied by a written release from the Resident School District that includes a statement of deadline waiver, the signature of the superintendent or school board president, and the date of such action. If you have any questions regarding Enrollment Option, please call Kraig Lofquist at 895-8300 or Melinda Egan at 895-8312.
