Within District Transfer Information

Introduction

Parents who desire to have their student attend a different school within the Millard Schools other than their assigned school may request a transfer.  Parents need to apply for a transfer at each level (i.e., elementary, middle school, high school) if they want their student to attend a school other than their assigned school.  If a parent wants to return a student to their assigned school, a transfer form is needed.  The Superintendent or his/her designee will approve or deny such requests.

Schools Closed to Within District Transfers
Classes, grades, programs, or schools may be unavailable to transfers when it is determined that there is no space available.  Please refer to the Schools Closed to Transfers.

Transfer Steps
Please refer to Rule 5110.1 for details on how to transfer.  There are conditions listed that may effect your decision.  They are listed for your information.

Information about High School Athletic Eligibility:

Please note: Students who transfer from one Millard high school to another are ineligible for NSAA activities for ninety (90) school days.  If you have questions about eligibility for NSAA activities, please call the Activities Director at one of the high schools.

If you have any questions about within district transfers, please call Kraig Lofquist 895-8300 or Melinda Egan at 895-8312.
