TREASURER’S REPORT:  approved

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Book Fair ~ The Book Fair’s total sales were $1,800.00.  The attendance was down this year.  It was discussed and then voted upon that the PTO will no longer be in charge of the Book Fair.  Beginning in April when the next Book Fair will take place, Ezra will be coordinating the Book Fair.   Mrs. Fees and Mrs. Larson will be the chairs of this event and Lisa Weidenfeller will co/chair this event with them.  Lisa is looking for a helpful co/ chair to work with her.  If you are interested please contact her at 965-8458. 

Art Show/Book Fair ~ The Art Show has been rescheduled for Thursday April 3rd.  The Book Fair will be taking place Wed., April 2, Thur., April 3 and Fri., April 4.  During the Art Show the Book Fair will be open, so that families may browse at the art work and then head into the library for the Book Fair.

Enrichment ~ We did receive a grant for $1,800.00 for Enrichment. There has been an artist hired and they will spend a week with each grade level during the spring.

Sally Foster ~ This fundraiser ran for 3 weeks and our total sales were $6,056.00.  Orders will be coming home with your child this Friday. 

OLD BUSINESS:
Halloween Trick or Trunk ~ The weather was awesome and the trick or trunking went great!  Thanks to all of the parents that helped decorate the trunks, handing out the candy and for the candy donations. It has been decided that next year there will be a committee formed to organize the Halloween event. If you wish to give any feedback, please feel free to contact Mrs. Novotny-Buss, she would love to her your thoughts!

NEW BUSINESS:
Turkey Bingo ~ Has been rescheduled for sometime in January or February and will take place at Family Night.  More information to come.

Art Curriculum ~ PTO has hired Therese Strajeski once again to come and work on one curriculum related art project per quarter and with each grade level.  She is scheduled to come in the spring.

Funding Speakers ~ The PTO committee will be meeting to discuss if the funds are in this years budget to help the School Improvement Team with guest speakers.

 

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL’S COMMENTS ~ This week the students may have come home talking about that we have a new Principal at Ezra?  Kirk Kellner from the Omaha Chamber of Commerce came in for the day this week to shadow Mrs. Novotny-Buss.  So, no new PrincipalJ

Ezra’s skating party is this Friday night.  Mrs. Novotny-Buss will be there to join in the fun with the kids!  We hope to see many of your there.

Some improvements around Ezra will be taking place this summer in and around our building. 

Donut Delight is just around the corner!  Mark your calendars for Friday December 7th @ 7:30am.  This year the Ezra choir will not be performing, but the Ezra band will have some wonderful selected holiday music to play for our enjoyment.

Looking for some extra spending money?  Ezra has available a crossing guard position for Blondo, beginning in January when we return from winter break.  This is for the morning shift and pays $5.00 a day.  Contact Mrs. Novotny- Buss if you are interested!
