GYM ROCKS HAVE FUN. These are the words you will find on the rock wall at the south end of the gym at Hitchcock. More than fitting. My name is Jon Thompson and this will be my 7th year teaching Physical Education at Hitchcock. I previously taught 3 years at Lewis Accelerated Elementary in Excelsior Springs, MO.
I was born in Maryville, Missouri, but grew up in the small town of Earlham, Iowa, where I attended 1 st - 12 th grades. I am a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University (Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!), and I am currently working on my Masters through Wayne State.
I have been married for 5 years. My wife's name is Monica and she teaches at Papillion Jr. High. We have two kids at home; Matthew, our 2 year old son, and Zeus, our 4 ½ year old Weimaraner. Both keep us very busy!
I am looking forward to another fun-filled year of teaching.
