My name is Kim Denton. This is my second year of employment with Millard Public Schools, and my first year with Hitchcock Elementary. Prior to earning my specialist degree in school psychology in 2005, I practiced as a mental health therapist for 6 years in various community settings. My work as a therapist centered around working with children, adolescents and families. I am thrilled to be working in the public school system where I am part of a team who supports the learning and needs of students, parents and faculty.
I was born and raised in Kearney, NE, attended Nebraska Wesleyan University for my bachelor’s degree, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney for my graduate degrees. I am mother to a beautiful 9 month old little girl, Ava. Over the summer, Ava and I enjoyed going to the pool, playing, and spending time with friends and family.
This year I will be sharing my time between Hitchcock, Rockwell and Norris Elementary. I will be at Hitchcock on Thursday of every week. I look forward to an exciting year at Hitchcock, and welcome you to seek me out if I can be of help!
