| Three Days Grace, the Toronto-based band that is originally from Norwood, Ontario, Canada, has successfully released their first self-titled album, Three Days Grace. The band added another member to help with the guitar parts during touring which initially made Barry a permanent member of the band. Before Barry became a member of Three Days Grace. The other three members were in a band together since they were teenagers in 1997 their band at the time was called "Groundswell" and when they got older they changed their band name. With the band they were never concerned about being on MTV or getting a record deal. They simply loved to play live, anywhere. When they signed on with their first manager, which introduced them to Gavin Brown a musician, songwriter and producer. They made a set of demos that they sent out to EMI music publishing. Mike McCarty the EMI Canadian president wanted to hear more so the band came up with I Hate Everything About You, which landed them a publishing deal with EMI in February of 2002, and would become the first single from its Jive debut. Three Days Grace has certainly came along way to get where they are now, and their fan base is growing in numbers. Their songs deal with a wide spectrum of life topics. |
