The mitochondrion of the cell is like the quarterback of the sooner’s. The mitochondrion is the main power source of the cell; it is like the quarterback because the quarterback is the one who makes plays happen. If the cell has no mitochondrion it would die, and a football team with no quarterback would not be able to play. The mitochondrion has to send the energy to the right place, and the quarterback has to give the football to the right people.
