For those students walking to Montclair, our Safety Patrol will be on duty beginning at 8:30 each morning and will help at dismissal beginning at 3:30 each afternoon. (Weds. at 2:00) Students can enter the building at 8:30 each morning. No supervision is provided on the playground before and after school, therefore we request that students time their arrival between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. Please read carefully the following information regarding traffic flow on our school property. The safety of our students depends on your knowledge and adherence to these rules.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Guidelines: • BE PATIENT. • DRIVE SLOWLY. • Students may be dropped off and picked up in the front of the building or on the south blacktop. • When dropping off in the morning, do not drive away until you make sure your child is away from your vehicle. Remember to say your goodbyes early enough that you do not delay traffic during drop-off. • Do not park your vehicle along the front curb in the orange/no-parking zone. Buses and daycare vans come and go throughout the day. (See attached map) • On the south balcktop, do not park along the curb in the no parking zone. This blocks traffic and slows everyone down. (See attached map) • Please do not park in or block the Handicap spaces. These spaces are needed by many qualified Montclair families and visitors. • Remind your child to be watching for your vehicle when it arrives. • Do not hold up traffic in the center lane. If you do not see your child, continue on until you can pull over to the curb, or drive around one more time. • NO CAR SHOULD BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN THE DROP-OFF/PICK UP LANE. |
