MILLARD PUBLIC SCHOOL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Cody PTA - $1,000 – must be in the upper 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, and attended Cody Elementary for three years. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Beth Ann Brooks Memorial – $325 - must be in the top 50% of your class with a 3.0 GPA, participated in school/community activities, and attended MSHS for 2 years, and have work or volunteer experience. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Brian J. McEwen Memorial - $325 – must have a commitment to engineering, participated in school/community activities, and been involved in work or volunteer activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Cottonwood PTA – $600 – must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, and attended Cottonwood Elementary two years and have completed grade 5 at Cottonwood. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Cottonwood PTA Future Teacher Scholarship – $600 – must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school and community activities, and attended Cottonwood Elem. two years. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Bernie Vanis Memorial - $300 - must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, attended Kiewit MS for two years, and major in education. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
G.E. Nelson Memorial - $700 – must have participated in school and community activities, attended school in the Millard District for two years and majoring in a business-related field.Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Robert L Ackerman PTO/Debbie Turpin Scholarship – $500 – must have attended Ackerman for one year including 5 th grade and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Ackerman PTO/Jim Porter Scholarship - $500 – must have attended Ackerman for one year including 5 th grade and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Ackerman PTO/Barbara Boettner Young Leader Scholarship - $500 – must have attended Ackerman for one year including 5 th grade and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Joy Glover Memorial – three at $200 – must have attended Ackerman, Montclair or Willowdale Elementary, participated in school and community activities and NOT related to the Glover family. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Harry P. & Elizabeth Andersen Memorial - $400 – must have participated in school and community activities, attended Andersen MS for at least one year and NOT related to the Harry P. Andersen family. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Southwest Omaha Kiwanis - $500 – must have participated in school/community activities, attended a Millard School for junior & senior year and a possible interview. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Millard Central Middle School Scholarship – two at $1,000 – must have a 3.50 GPA, completed two years at Central Middle School and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Harold Helme Memorial – $300 - must be in the top 25% of your class, participated in school and community activities, attended school in the Millard District for two years and majoring in a business-related field.Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Willowdale PTO - $1,050 – must have attended Willowdale Elementary for one year, including the completion the 5 th grade at Willowdale and participated in school/community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Nancy Yaley Memorial Scholarship - $1,000 – must be in the upper half of your class, participated in school/community activities, attended a Millard School their senior year and majoring in education at UNL. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Pamela K. Breci Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 – shall have experienced cancer in your immediate family, preference given to those pursuing a teaching degree, and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Robert Offerjost Memorial Scholarship – $400 – must be diagnosed as a special learning disabled student, completed two years at Millard South and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Bob & Mary Lykke Educator Scholarship – $1,000 – must be in the upper 25%of your class, intend to pursue a career as a teacher and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Ezra Millard PTO Scholarship – $1,000 – must be in the upper half of your class, completed two years at Ezra Elementary and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Carleen J. Richeson Memorial Scholarship – one at $1,000 – must be verified to receive Special Education services, completed two years at MSHS and NOT related to the Carleen Richeson family. Deadline: February 1, 2008
Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship – two at $500 each – must be eligible to graduate from a Millard HS, top 25% of your class and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
John G. Neihardt – $700 – must have completed three academic years at Neihardt Elementary, be in the upper half of your class, and participated in school/community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Tyler Scott Kovar Memorial Scholarship – $500 – must be in the top 50% of your class, must have completed two years at AMS and are graduating from MSHS or MWHS and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Grace Abbott PTO – two at $500 – must be in the upper 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, and attended Abbott Elementary for three years. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Morton PTO - four at $500 each – must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, attended Morton Elementary for two years, and attended any Millard HS for junior & senior year. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Kiewit Middle School – two at $1,000 each – must be in the top 50% of your class, pursue a career in education and completed two years at Kiewit MS. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Cather PTO – two at $500 – must be in the upper third of your class, participated in school/community activities and completed two years at Cather Elementary. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Black Elk PTO – two at $500 – participated in school/community activities, attended Black Elk Elementary one year and must have two letters of recommendation from staff. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Millard North Middle School Scholarship - $2,000 – must be in the upper half of your class, participated in school/community activities and attended Millard North Middle for two years. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Kamela M. Lamberty Memorial Scholarship – $1,500 – must be in the upper half of your class, demonstrate proficiency in writing, show evidence to support you have had a positive impact on others and have participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.

Millard Education Association Scholarship – $1,000 – must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, have a parent/guardian who is a member of MEA, planning to major in education and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Aldrich PTA Scholarship - $1,000 – must be in the upper third of your class, have participated in school and community activities and have attended Aldrich elementary for two years. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Mutual of Omaha Scholarship - $1,000 – completed junior and senior year at Millard South and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Douglas LaMay Scholarship - $500 – must be in the upper 60% of your class, NOT related to the LaMay family, and have participated in school and community activities and are planning a major in auto mechanics/ closely related field.Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Millard Retired Educators Scholarship - $200 – must be in the upper half of your class, be a child of a certified employee (teacher, principal, etc.) of the Millard Public Schools and have participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Don Stroh Educator – two at $1,000 – must be in the top 25% of your class, participated in school and community activities, attended school in the Millard District for two years, pursue a career ineducation (teacher, administrator, counselor, etc.)and NOT related to the Don Stroh family. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Scholarship of Excellence – three at $1,000 – must be in the top 10% of your class, participated in school and community activities, attended Millard schools for two years, have a minimum ACT of 26 or SAT of 1150, demonstrate leadership qualities & expressed creative talent and potential. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Hitchcock PTO - $500 – must be in the upper 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, and attended Hitchcock Elementary one year, including the completion of the 5 th grade at Hitchcock. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Buell-Jipp Memorial Scholarship – three at $450 – you must be in the upper half of your class, completed two years in the Millard school system, participated in school and community activities, has worked at least part-time and NOT related to the Buell-Jipp families. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Grove E. Nelson Memorial - $1,000 – must be in the upper third of your class, have completed three years at Millard South HS, and attending a University of Nebraska school Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Caryl & Katherine Brown Memorial - $1,000 – must have a 3.0 GPA, participated in school & community activities, plan to major in communications and education and have financial need. Please see application for all the details. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Beadle Middle School – two at $1,000 – must have a 3.5 GPA, have completed two academic years at BMS and participated in school & community activities. See the application for all the details. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
George F. Russell Middle School – two at $1,500 – must be in the top 50% of your class, have completed two years at RMS and participated in school/community activities. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Robert “Bob” Bartles Memorial Scholarship - $1,000 – must be in the top 50% of your class, completed two years in a Millard Public High School, participated in school/community activities and NOT related to the Bartels family. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Norman Rockwell PTO – two at $200 – must have attended Rockwell Elementary for two years and participated in school and community activities. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
TeamMates of Millard Public Schools – two at $250 –must have been a mentee for TeamMates during their high school year. Deadline: February 15, 2008.
Bryan PTO - $750 – must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, and attended Bryan Elementary one year and have completed grade 5 at Bryan. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Holling Heights PTA – two at $500 – award will be based on GPA, school/community activities, letters of recommendation, involvement at Holling Heights, etc. See application. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Georgia Wheeler PTA - $500 - – must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school/community activities, and attended Wheeler Elementary one year and have completed grade 5 at Wheeler. See application. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Norris Elementary PTO – two at $500 – must be involved in school/community activities, completed two full years at Norris. See application. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Harry Andersen Middle School – two at $1,000 each - must be in the top 50% of your class, participated in school and community activities, and attended Andersen MS for two academic years. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Rob Wennstedt Outstanding Swimmer – two at $250 award – must be graduating from Millard South, participated on the swim team during senior year, qualified for a letter, etc. See application. Deadline: January 15, 2008.
Disney PTO/Larkin Memorial – two at $600 – must be in the top 50% of your class and have attended Disney for three years and completed 5 th grade at Disney. Deadline: February 1, 2008.
Legacy Eyecare - $500 – must be in the top 50% of you class, majoring in the health care field and attended Millard Public Schools for two years. Deadline: February 1, 2008
Omaha Primary EyeCare - $1,000 – must be in the top 50% of your class, major in the healthcare field and attended Millard Public Schools for two years. Deadline: February 1, 2008
Sandoz PTA – three at $500 – must have attended Sandoz for two years and have completed 5 th grade at Sandoz. Deadline: February 1, 2008
Singleton Memorial - $500 – must pursue career in special needs, attended Millard Public Schools for two years and not be related to the Singleton family. Deadline: January 15, 2008.

Logon to www.mpsfoundation.org
Click on “Programs.”
Click on “Apply for a Scholarship.”
Follow all of the directions.
