UNL Placement Exam
If you registered for the UNL Math Placement Test, the test will be given at 8:00 am on Wednesday, April 2nd (a B-day) in the South Lecture Hall at Millard South High. The exam is 35 minutes long and will take 10-15 minutes to fill out the preliminary form. Arrive at least 10 minutes early and bring number two pencils and a calculator. If you have any questions see Mrs. Powers in the Counseling Center.

Thinking about enrolling in Metro Community College???
If you are thinking about taking one class or going to Metro full-time and have not taken the first step, you should make plans for an Individual Campus Visit! Meet with a Student Services Representative to get a general overview of the college, its programs and services. You will be able to tour the facilities, and when available, a faculty member will meet with you to answer any questions that you may have. Also, meet with the staff of the Career Network Center and see the resources they provide to enhance development. Each visit takes about one hour. DO YOU LIVE IN SARPY COUNTY?
The Sarpy County Farm Bureau offers two $500 Home Economics/Agriculture College scholarships for those planning to major in either area. Applicants will be judged on scholastic ability, extra curricular activities and a letter of recommendation. See the rack for all the details. Deadline: April 15, 2008.

ATTENTION MILITARY DEPENDENTS!!
The Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club is offering scholarships for dependents of active duty, retired or deceased enlisted military personnel residing in Sarpy, Douglas or Cass counties. You must also have a 2.0 GPA or higher. See the rack for an application. Deadline: April 10, 2008.

For example, if you are planning to attend UNL, your $200 Enrollment Deposit is required by May 1, 2007 to secure your place in the new student class for 2007. TWO AUTOMOTIVE OPPORTUNITIES

  • The Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa Car Council is offering four scholarships worth $300 each to students interested in the automotive industry. To be eligible you must complete and send the application. First consideration will be given toward an applicant who may have ties to an organized car club that is a member of ENWICC. See the rack for an application. Deadline: April 15, 2007.
  • Chevrolet Classics Club of Omaha is offering a $1,000 scholarship. You must be planning to attend a community college or vocational school majoring in the automobile industry. Don’t miss this opportunity. Please see the rack for all the details. Deadline: April 15, 2008.

JOEL KUDYM MEMORIAL
The Joel Kudym Memorial Scholarship is being offered in memory of Joel in the amount of $1,500. He was a graduate of Central HS who died a year after graduation. To be eligible for this award you must have financial need, a strong will to succeed, community service and a good attendance record. Hard-working students with average grades will be considered before students with high grade point averages. See the rack. Deadline: April 1, 2008.

SUSAN THOMPSON BUFFETT FOUNDATION $$$
The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation is providing scholarships to seniors who plan to attend a NE state public 4-year and 2-year school. The awards are valued up to $3,200 per semester for tuition and fees and $400 per semester for books. See the application for all of the information and the list of eligible 4-year and 2-year schools. Deadline: April 10, 2008.
