Millard West was designed
to be a 21st Century High School with a visionary environment that
promotes and nurtures personal growth and achievement. This
conceptual design was brought to reality by building around five
major points of emphasis:

High School strove to meet the needs of Millard
students and community both now and into the future. Millard West
empowers both students and staff to be lifelong learners and to excel
as critical thinkers in a culturally diverse, ever-changing society.
This school is committed to continuous improvement and total quality,
encouragement of growth and risk-taking, and celebration of
collaboration and success.
Millard West High School
officially opened its doors on August 17, 1995. The work on this
major project, the largest in the history of the Millard Schools, was
driven by the District Strategic Plan. The desire to have modern,
up-to-date facilities to accomplish the district mission has been the
driving force in both the remodeling of older facilities and in the
construction of new buildings to meet the growth and expansion of the
district.
