
Gretchen Reeder
Gretchen Reeder served for 13 years on the Millard Board of Education. She initiated Project PAYBAC, the Millard school district's business partnership program. Today the PAYBAC program links Millard schools with over 300 businesses. She also was a founding member of the Millard Public Schools Foundation. She was named to the Millard Hall of Fame in 1993. An Omaha native and a longtime community volunteer, she also supported the Assistance League and served on the Omaha Library Board. Her philosophy about life was: "Giving is important, because you always get more than you give." She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She died of cancer in 2004 at age 63.
