Aug. 6 - 8th grade from 8 to Noon  & 7th grade from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Aug. 7 - 6th grade from 8 to Noon   & All grades/makeup from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

2008- 09 School Year Information

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 13.   Students are to gather outside the South Main entrance - not the “Q” Street North Entrance - where they will receive directions from staff members.

**Note: The correct date for the first day is Wednesday, August 13, not Monday, as stated in the newsletter.  Sorry for the mix-up.

George Russell Middle School is part of the Millard Public Schools District located in southwest Omaha, Nebraska.  

Russell staff and students are proud that our school has been selected as a "Blue Ribbon School" by the U.S. Department of Education.  We are committed to continue to reach for excellence.  The safety of our students is of the utmost importance to us.  We strongly embrace a "No Tolerance for Bullying" philosophy in our school and on the school grounds.  We also want to promote Online Safety for students and their families.
