Read the letter from Heydrich to the State Police regarding Kristallnacht.

Assignment:
1. Sadly, antisemitism is still an issue.
  Find an example in current events of a hate crime against someone Jewish. 
2.  Read "The Jewish Population of Europe in 1933"  (before the Nazi Rule)
2.   Read Kristallnacht.
  Be ready to tell what Ernst vom Rath, a low-ranking official at the German embassy in Paris, and Herschel Grynszpan, a 17-year-old Polish Jew, have to do with Kristallnacht.

4.  Read "What is genocide?"
5.  Read "Propaganda"
6.  Go to "The Third Reich: Overview"
  View the video clips of Hitler's Campaign speech and Goebbels and the book burning. 
  Listen to the passion and ferventness in their voices. 
  Read the transcript and information surrounding each video clip.
7.  Go to "The Third Reich Overview". 
  Study each of the maps.
  Be prepared to discuss the changes.
