School Rules
1) Respect yourself (Put your best foot forward to make yourself and others proud.)
2) Respect others (Treat staff and students with respect.)
3) Respect property (Take care of school, personal, and other’s property.)

*The Wheeler School Rules should be followed at all times – in class, specials, lunch, and recess.

Lunchroom Procedures
1) Walk in the cafeteria.
2) Use an inside voice.
3) Raise your hand if you need help or to use the restroom.
4) All food should be eaten in the cafeteria. Eat your own food.
5) Clean up after yourself.
6) Wait to be dismissed by an adult.
7) If you are in for recess you need a pass from your teacher.

Playground Rules
1) Respect yourself, others, and property.
2) Play fair. (Follow rules, take turns, share, and show good sportsmanship.)
3) Be safe. (Use equipment properly and do not push, hit, or tackle.)
4) Find an adult if you are hurt or need to go inside.
5) Keep the playground supervisors in sight and stay in the playground boundaries.
6) Keep ice, snow, and wood chips on the ground.
7) Line up as soon as the whistle blows.

Inside Recess Rules - Teachers will establish appropriate recess activities and games.
1) Respect yourself, others, and property.
2) Walk in the hallway.
3) Use an appropriate voice level.
4) Play fair. (Follow rules, take turns, share, and show good sportsmanship.)
5) Get permission from an adult before leaving the room.
6) Clean up your area when leaving an activity or when recess is over.

***All students are also responsible for following the Millard Student Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct contains district expectations and possible consequences for violations of the code. Parents will be given the Millard Code of Conduct along with grade level curriculum information at Curriculum Night. Parents not attending recieved the handbook via Friday Folders. Students and parents should sign and return the receipt contained in the handbook to verify that they received a copy and understand the rules
