Meeting Oct. 7 6:30 pm

The Willowdale Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists as a non-profit organization to promote a closer relationship between home, school and community. Funds generated by the PTO go toward a variety of programs and projects for the school.

We welcome everyone to join in the work of our school, there are many different committees and interests! General membership meetings are held five times a year with the Executive Committee meeting a bit more often. Willowdale has always had lots of support among the parents - that's the way we build better schools, TOGETHER! Besides, it's fun to support our children in these few short years...they do go quickly! Working together gives us that sense
of community back in this fast paced time. Be a part of the Willowdale family!

You can get more involved by assisting with some of the following PTO projects and activities:

Hospitality Committee - coordinates Teacher Appreciation activities, collects ads and information for the Buzz Book (phone directory), seeks out McGruff homes (school safety to and from school).

Fund Raising Committee - active all year round with small activities such as Campbell Soup Labels and Box Tops for Education collection, Target card donations, and larger scale drives such as the Booster Club Card and Spring Flower Sales.
Social Activities Committee - plans fun events like Family Nights for each grade level and

Schoolfest (beginning of school event).

Student Activities Committee - serves as coordinating Cultural Arts/Enrichment Days for the student body, handles the Book Fair (two times a year), Wild About Reading Program (promotes reading for life), Willowdale Yearbook, 5th Grade Farewell (end of the year party),

Birthday Book Club (promotion for our media center) and Gift of the Heart Programs (community outreach/blood drive).
