Planet 5th: Mr. Vincent's Fifth Grade
Scratch Art

Students created a "scratch plate" by covering a paper completely in crayon and then painting black tempera over the crayon. Next, students used a paperclip to scratch a scene from nature. Students used various types of lines in their artwork.

Lines are an element of art design. They can be straight, curved, thick, thin, even, uneven, wavy, zigzag, and more.
