This morning as we stalked into the room, we checked in as usual and got Day 2 grammar worksheet ready to turn in. Today I was happy because it was Wednesday. I specifically like Wednesdays because we get to do art! For those of you who don't know this I love art!
As we moved into math, some of us went to Math Olympiad and others stayed where they were. In math I was at Math Olympiad so I asked Taylor B. What happened in math. She said: "We did a lot of chalk board races." I wonder who is the fastest in chalk board racing. She also told me that if you won one of the races your tribe team would get some points! After that the Math Olympiad students returned to the classroom. Math was officially over for the day.
Afterwards we teleported to gymsic. In gymsic Ms. Noble made us relax by listening to one of Beethoven's pieces of music and lay down on the floor and try to feel weightless and relaxed. After that she taught us a dance that we did with a country song.
Next after gymsic we scrambled back to the classroom getting ready for reading and writing time. As we got ready Mr. Vincent said we could have our snacks. Some of us scarffed down our snacks. As we "scarffed" down our snacks we did a little Mad Libs to improve our vocabulary. At the end when Mr. Vincent reads the story some of our stomaches hurt from all the laughter.
Furthermore we read about fluency in Palm Reader using our Palms. We also reread our last Roving Reporters and rated it on how fluent the sentences were and why we rated it what we rated it.
Moving into art we did realism art by drawing real fruit and tried to make it as real as possible. We also learned what makes a piece of art realistic. We drew our realistic fruit with chalk pastels. From the looks of it, I think everyone did a pretty good on this art project!
After art we all jumped into a little spelling. We got assigned page 65,1-20. A few of us finished it because we had so little time to do it and because of the things we didn't understand.
Finally came lunch! Everyone who was invited to the pot luck today were pretty excited because today was our no lates pot luck for December! There were a lot of scrumptious foods on the tables out side in the hallway. After lunch everyone who went to the pot luck was bloated! When I say bloated I mean it! Some of us ate so much our tummies were hurting. In fact Chris W. told me that today.
Eventually we moved into tribal council. In tribal council today we voted for any person in the class to guess who would have the most boxes by next Wednesday. I wonder who?
Finally! Whew, that was a long day. As the bell rang the students dashed out the door longing to go home! See you tomorrow!
