As students filed into the classroom, they took their seats and followed the instructions that Mrs. Jones wrote on the board. The instructions were to turn in all of your papers from yesterday. After you did that, you were supposed to write a story about your pet. It was easy for me to write about my pets. I have four. We also had to turn in book orders if we had them. We also had no tribal council today because Mr Vincent was gone. We checked Math Boxes 6.2.

We had page 178 to do. On that page, we worked on great span again. Mine was 180 mm. Andrea's was 170 mm. Looks like I have a longer span then she does. Next we played First to 21 again. It's a game where you and another person have a deck of cards and you flip back and forth and whoever gets to 21 first wins! The other thing is you only play with cards 4,5,6,7 and 8. Last for math, we did Math Boxes 6.3. That was a lot of math.

After math, we took a little quiz in music. We also had WART (writing and reading time). We finished reading Paul Bunyan. In the story there's Paul Bunyan, Ma Bunyan, Little Jean and Teeny. We had a quiz over Paul Bunyan . We read our IRB's [independent reading books] until everyone was done with their quiz. Since everyone was done with the quizzes, we were going to share our pet stories that we wrote this morning. I liked everyone's stories, but some were really funny.

After we did that we were going to go outside for the first time in the week. We haven't gone outside all week because its been such a cold and chilly week. After we had our cheeseburgers and fries, we had a spelling worksheet assigned. It didn't look very hard, but you can't judge a book by it's cover.

Time for social studies! In social studies we finished filling in our worksheets about differences. It was called “Differences Divide Britain and It's Colonies.” We did this with our groups.

Then some of us did Mad Libs. We finished the day by reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. As soon as the bell rang, students filed out the door super fast. It was almost like a galloping herd of horses!
