Friday 1/9/04
Reported & Photographed by Samantha
"I can't believe that it's already Friday!" I thought as I strolled in to the classroom.
First was math. We checked Math Boxes 6.3. I'm really glad I got a 100%. Then we played a game called “First to 21.” Soon after that we made a stem and leaf chart on how old our moms were and what year they were born. Then we worked on Math Boxes 6.4.
Then Tiffany brought doughnuts to celebrate her birthday. I'm glad that I forgot my snack.
Then we had gym and music time. Today we had gym we played steal the ball.Next we went in to W.A.R.T (writing and reading time). Today we read an article on Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon. Later we had a worksheet.
After that we read our I.R.B. It was so quiet that we could hear a pin drop. Then we fixed some other people's roving reports. After a full morning of work we settled down for lunch, it was pancakes and the really delicious tri-tator. After we got in from recess we started on spelling. We had a test on simple subjects. In addition, we had a "Write It Right". It was a little harder than the last one, but that's probably because I haven’t done them in a while.
Soon after that we went into social studies, and we watched slide shows about the Revolutionary War and worked on our yellow sheets for studying.
Then we jumped into read aloud. Today we read about how they replaced Harry on the Quidditch team and how Cho Chang kissed Harry. At least I think that’s the part we read.
Finally, to wrap up the day, was the faithful waiting of the bell to ring, Then on to the weekend! I can't wait until Monday.
