Woosh! The doors flew open and the kids scrambled their way to the class room with a lot of chatter about plans for the long weekend to come.
Then they plopped onto their seats and looked up to see the chalkboard. It said very clearly, practice cartooning, and so we did . Finally we turned in our worksheets and were ready for the day.
Next was math. In math, we added and subtracted fractions on the chalkboard (which I thought was fun).
Time passed very quickly and we were ready for gym. In gym class we played basketball and a lot of kids thought it was very fun.
Then we had WART (it stands for Writing and Reading Time). We read our independent reading books. Mine is Nothing Wrong with a Three-Legged Dog . It is really good. Our book reviews are due by January 30th!
Next was lunch. We had a cheeseburger and that was about it, because we just sat eating. During inside recess and a lot of us drew our cartoons. I was one of those people.
We had a good old-fashioned worksheet for spelling. Our words end in "ous" this week.
For social studies, we wrote definitions about the Revolutionary times on our pink study guides.
Tribal Council was held for our class room Survivor game . We voted for people at our table and whoever got the most votes earned three points.
Finally, it was time to go; so the kids packed up their supplies and left one by one for a long weekend.
