Well, today everybody's here except one person. We are all very happy that tomorrow is Friday and the last day of the week.
To start off the day, we started math. We got out our Unit 6 Review Study Guide and we wrote notes about the math test. Also, we did similar problems that are going to be on the test that Mr. Vincent gave us. Next, Mr. Vincent gave us an assignment. It was about adding and subtracting fractions.
Then, we went to music and we had a spelling test on the musical instruments. Then, we got to pick an instrument to play for the beat that our music teacher would give us.
Next, we got back to the classroom and we got out our social studies books and read Samuel's Choice by Richard Berleth and illustrated by Bill Maugan.
Then we went to the computer lab down in the media center. We worked on Larson's math. It gave us practice adding and subtracting fractions.
Then we had good old lunch time. My friends and I had lunch together which was very scrumptious. We had hamburgers and French fries and went outside for recess. My friend Aaron said, "It is very cold."
When we got inside we did spelling. We did a pretest to decide what words for our next spelling test. When we checked them to see if they were right, we went up to Mr. Vincent for him to check it. If we got one wrong, we would owe him a ticket. But oh yeah, I didn't owe him one!
After that, we did social studies. For social studies, we wrote notes in our study guide. He gave us an assignment. It was called "Americans Take Sides.” We had to figure out who was neutral, a Patriot, or a Loyalist in the American Revolution.
To end the day, we did read aloud. Mr. Vincent read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. After that, everybody packed their bags and was ready to leave. When the bell rang, everybody dragged their feet out after a hard day at school.
