We went back to school from the two surprising snow days. Booo! The first thing we had to do this morning was study for our social studies test that's on Friday. Next we had to turn in our Quotes WS, Word Building WS, and the TFK (Time For Kids) WS.

Math was next, so Brian and I went to Mrs. Brush's room for math.  That's when Brian told us some very sad news.  He told us that his mom had died.  She used to smoke, but she stopped.  She began having trouble breathing. She died at home. Brian told us they're going to bury her where his grandmother is buried in California.  We were all very sad to hear this.

After math, it was time for Gymsic.  We started out by running. Then we played basketball against Ms. Sanborn's class.  We lost by a score of 14 to 0.

In WART, we typed our book reviews on our handhelds.  They are due on Friday.

Finally, it was time for art. We had to make realistic drawings of people.  We drew them out of chalk today.  Then next week we will color them in.

After art, it was time for lunch. We had a turkey sandwich with carrot sticks, cheese, pudding and milk.  Brian, Drew, Dean, Chris Watson and I got treats from Mrs. Olson after speech, so we saved them for our after lunch dessert.  Yum!

Next, it was time for spelling.  In the Write it Right WS, we had to find four spelling errors, one punctuation error, one capitalization error and two sentences that were together.

We didn't have enough time to do Tribal Council, so Mr. Vincent read aloud to us from the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix book.  It's so good!

Finally, it was time to get out of school. I think all of us had a great day today!
