As part of Spirit Week today we had pop and candy day, plus sports day. The kids dashed into the room with their soda and candy. On the board it said to turn in science paper and book report. Hope everybody got a good grade!
For math we learned about using parentheses and played a game on our Palms. The game was called MathWiz. I never got to play the game but I will (I went to Math Olympiad).

After math we went to Gymsic, and Mrs. Kelly talked to us.
Next we had spelling. We did a pre-test about Spanish words. Then we had a handwriting test. We had to write in cursive. I don't like cursive. Next we did a project that was to come up with 26 interesting nouns. Dean came up with the most. He had 67.

We finished the morning with art. We had to color in our portraits that we drew last week, which was to make a realistic person. Coloring with chalk pastels was really hard, I think. I don't like my portrait, but it is okay. A lot of people had good projects. I liked them.

Then it was time for lunch. Today was the No Late Assignments Potluc,k and there was Taco Bell, pie, and chicken wings.

After lunch we did some Mad Libs. Some of those crack me up. One was called "How to Sword Fight." That was the funniest one I've ever heard. It made the whole class laugh. Then we did another Mad Lib called "How to Use a Defibrillator." That one was pretty funny but not as funny as "How to Sword Fight." Then we had a challenge to see how long Mr. Vincent could balance a yardstick. Finally the bell rang and everyone squealed out the door, not knowing if there would be yet another snow day tomorrow.
