“I can't believe all the people in their DARE shirts today,” I thought as I rushed in. Everyone was extremely happy and excited for our trip to the Shrine Circus for being part of the DARE program.

In math today we didn't do much because we had to cut it short because of our field trip. While we where in math we fixed our last Study Link and did some problems on our new Study Link.

Then we were getting on the bus to go to the Circus! When we got there you wouldn't believe all the other students that got to go to the circus also. We got the best seats in the whole place! The show started with the tigers, which got whipped a few times which a lot of people didn't like. Then next these little dogs and two miniature ponies came out and did some tricks. They were so cute. It was amazing when these two people ran a motorcycle across the tight rope! After that, we saw these men with long hair that where doing lots of really neat thing with ropes. Then it was time for the intermission (half time). That’s when most people had their lunch. When it was over and we got back to the show and all three rings were occupied now with a juggler, a bicycle rider that did a lot of stunts with his bike. Then there was this acrobat who balanced on a ball and kept adding planks till he got to five or six. The act that went after them was spectacular. They climbed 70 feet up on a wobbly pole and did tricks. I could never do that.

After the climbers, came the elephants. They did some cool things also, but the pigs where probably the funniest. You should have seen the acrobats they had! About four flyers and one catcher but don't worry he didn't catch all of them at once. When that was through the final act came out. It was the Cannon Lady. That was really awesome! Now I'm not sure if that’s the order the acts went but that’s the way I put them.

When we got back to school we worked on science sheet number 3. We also worked in Idea Pad on our Palms. We organized what we have learned so far about light. It’s a form of energy that can be reflected and refracted.

Finally, it was time to get ready to go home. I think most students where happy to go, for tomorrow Mr. Vincent is bringing his kitten, Tucker.
