Friday 3/5/04

This morning we scampered into the room excited about bowling. We cleaned and organized, read silently, or did Silly Stories. After that we watched this week’s broadcast of Willowcam.
After all that we jumped into math by correcting Math Boxes 8.5 and corrected Study Link 8.5. Today we learned how to multiply fractions. We figured out that it was really easy because all you have to do is multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators to get the product. After learning how to multiply fractions we did Math Boxes 8.6. We didn't have gym today because we were going bowling. We ended math early to watch a little bit of Liberty's Kids, although in the middle of the show orchestra had to leave.
Next after that nice break we did book groups. After book groups Mrs. Campney told us about the International Space Station at the SAC Museum because we were going there next week. She also told us a little bit about bowling because we were going to Western Bowl this afternoon.
Before we even knew it, it was time to bowl! At the bowling alley we bowled for a little while until everybody was done buying or eating their lunches! Then it was time for cosmic bowling! It was first very dark but then the disco balls came on. The flashing lights came on, and so did the music! The party was on! Some girls danced and of course everybody partied! Some of the boys tried to make the girls move out of their way because when the girls were dancing they all gathered in one spot! It was a blast! But before you know it time was up and the party was over. Time to clean up and go. When you have fun time goes fast! After we got back Katie said, "I had a really fun time!"
Eventually we got back from all that excitement and moved into spelling. In spelling all we did was a worksheet called “Rhyme Time.”
Before I knew it, the day was over but it was still very exciting! You can never have too much fun! Have a wonderful and exciting weekend!
