Today we rushed in and read what was on the board. It said to read the TFK (Time For Kids).
Then after we read Time for Kids for a while, we had math. In math we corrected Math Boxes 8.6. When we were done checking, we did board races on the chalkboard. It's where two kids go up to the chalkboard and Mr. Vincent gives them two different fractions that you have to multiply. If you get the right answer, and you're the first, you get a ticket or you could take on a challenger to get another ticket or you could loose and not get any tickets. After the board races we did Math Boxes 8.7.
After math we walked down to music. When we got to music, we worked on rhythm.
After we got back from music, we split up into book groups. When we were reading, Mrs. Anderson came in and told us that there were six main groups of dogs, two groups are good hunting dogs, one group of terriers, one group of working dogs, one group of pets, and one group of protecting dogs. She did this ass part of a lesson about finding trash and treasure when researching.
When Mrs. Anderson left, Mr. Vincent read part of the TFK aloud to us. We read about how much students will be tested each year as part of a federal law. After we read the TFK, we went to lunch. For lunch we had pizza or peanut butter sandwiches. Then we went outside for recess.
When we came in from recess, we had a spelling sheet we had to do. It was called ''Call Today.''
After everyone got done, we had a News Bowl. We moved our desks to the outside of the room and sat in the middle. Then Mr. Vincent split us up into groups. There was yellow, red, green, blue, and orange. The winners got to choose a neat bag sort of like a one handled back pack. “Those are so cool,'' Dean said.
After that Mr. Vincent read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. A short summary of it is that Harry spent Christmas with Sirius (his godfather) and the Weasley family. After that we filled out our planners before the bell rang.
Well, that was another great day in Mr. Vincent's class.
