Today the class scrambled into the classroom. Then they read the board, which said, "Have ready - Call Today and TFK work sheets." When we had that on our desks, we had to play MathCard on our Palms. But our behavior must of been disastrous because we had to put our heads down. After we got our heads up Mr. Vincent went around and checked how many MathCard multiplication problems we got right. Aaron got the most. He had 613. That is a lot!
Next we did math. For math we had a review. For the review we re-practiced simplest form, fractions to mixed numbers, and mixed numbers to fractions. But we still had to learn to multiply mixed numbers. Matt said, "Multiplying mixed numbers is okay." I think so too.
Next we went to gym. For gym we played hockey. We had to wear glasses. The glasses gave me circles around my eyes.
From gym we went to our book groups. I am in The Castle in the Attic group. Every group finished their books except the Pinky Pie group.
Computer lab came next. In the computer lab we had to study our artists. I think it is kind of fun. Artists seem to lead interesting lives.
For lunch the A choice was a potato. The B choice was a crispito. But they did not have enough crispitoes for the fifth graders because they ran out. It was a nice day out so the fifth graders squealed out the door for recess.
After recess we had to take our spelling test. Hope everybody studied!
hen it was time for Social Studies. First we saw a slide show about after the revolutionary war. Then we watched a Liberty’s Kids video. Mr. Vincent made us tell two things we learned about the video to our desk neighbors. Then it was finally time for read aloud. The part that Mr. Vincent read was about Christmas just ending. I did not hear it all because I had safety patrol. Then the bell rang as the kids galloped out of the room.
