It was hard getting up this morning after a week long break. When we arrived in Mr. Vincent's classroom, all of the students were happy to see each other and Mr. Vincent.
Mr. Vincent started the day by telling us about the fourth and fifth graders in Michigan. Mr. Vincent shared Palms with the students in Michigan. They thought the Silly Sentences were funny.
Math was the first subject of the day. We found out we have a math test coming up next Monday. We reviewed things we need to know for the test. Mr. Vincent handed out a Math Box and assigned a page in the math book. We worked for about 10 minutes.
Next, we went to Music. Everyone got in their group and tried to earn more points for their group. We had to be good listeners and write the music notes we heard Mrs. Noble clap.
When we returned to class after Music, it was time for reading. In reading groups, we answered questions about the reading.
For lunch today, we had breakfast bar. It was French toast sticks or pancakes. The syrup is good but very messy! The weather was cold and windy but everyone had fun anyway.
Tuesday, we will have a spelling test over all 30 Priority Words for fifth grade. We asked a friend to help us practice for the test.
Then, we got into new groups. We will be reading and studying about the writing of the Constitution.
After cleaning up the room, we were dismissed. Everyone was glad to finish the first day back after Spring Break.
