The
day began with everyone reading the news in Fling It on our handhelds. We
had to delete the one that was on there before we got the new one. There
were some pretty interesting news stories on there.
Math came next for everyone in class except another student and me. The
other student had to take a test in the conference room while I worked
on math with Mrs. Lorsbach. After that student was finished with
the test, he came into Mrs. Lorsbach's room and found me playing Math
Blaster.
Next, it was time for gym. Aaron and Taylor H. rolled the dice
and got a four which meant that we all had to do four laps
outside in the freezing cold! After we finished that, we all went
back inside and played hockey. The game ended in a one to
one tie.
Then it was time for WART. I had to go to Mrs. Lorsbach's room
again. There I read an Escape book called High in the
Sky and
answered questions about what I read. Meanwhile, there were two
high school girls from Millard West watching what went on in our classroom. One
of the girls was Mr. Vincent's little sister! After I got back
from Mrs. Lorsbach's room, it was time for Rita the storyteller. She
told us a story about the tasty sky in Africa. It was supposed
to teach us to not waste food. Then we had to make up our own story. We
called it "The Child That Fell In the Well and Eventually Got Out."
Finally, it was time for lunch! The "A" lunch was something
new called lasagna rollup and the "B" lunch was spiral pasta. I
tried the lasagna rollup. It looked a little like a casserole but
it was really pretty good.
After a cold recess, we warmed up and took a spelling test. The two
girls from Millard West gave us candy. I would like for that to
happen more often! I hope everyone did a good job!
Social studies came next. We wrote some more in our study guides
and had a pop quiz. There were ten questions. Mr. Vincent
wanted to see how much we knew so far. I know I have to study some
more!
Finally, it was time for read aloud. We are still reading Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I'm beginning to wonder if
we will ever finish this book!
At last, it was time to go home! I hope everybody had a good day!
