Surprise! I
get to be the Roving Reporter today instead of Eric. He
couldn't be the Roving Reporter because he had to
leave school, so he asked me to fill in for him.
We started the day by playing Summing or Vexed. Summing is the
game where you add the numbers. If you get them right and all the
boxes disappear, you get the highest score. On Vexed, you do the
same thing only you push the boxes into the one that matches. After
the boxes disappear, you move on to the next level.
Next, it was time for math. Two boys and I go to Mrs. Lorsbach's
room for math. We worked on two digit division. It's
kind of hard, but we're getting better at it.
After math, it was time for gym. To warm up, we had to run six
laps outside around the parking lot. Then we went back inside and
played baseball. We divided into two teams but we didn't
keep score. We just played it for fun!
Now it was time for WART. In WART the class divided into two groups. One
group had to read The Spies of the Revolutionary War with Mr. Vincent
and the other group read The Way West with Mrs. Milius. I worked
until three of us had to leave to go to Mrs. Lorsbach's room.
At last it was time for lunch. We had the breakfast bar with pancakes
or French toast sticks, Little Smokies, Tri Taters,
orange and milk. After a sweltering hot recess, we went inside
to cool off and begin our next lesson.
Up next was spelling. We worked on a crossword puzzle that had
our spelling words in it.
Then it was time for social studies. Once again, a couple of students
and I had to leave to go to Mrs. Lorsbach's room again. I
think she wants to adopt us! The rest of the class reviewed the study
guide for the Chapter 10 test coming up next week.
Finally, we ended the day with read aloud. We're
still reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I hope
we finish this book before the end of the school year!
The bell rang and we high-fived Mr. Vincent on our way out of the classroom. I
hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!
