Today we started with brainteasers. They were challenging for some people and easy for some people. Then we started with checking Math Boxes 10.7. Then for math we got these new Palm programs called FlashBoom, Crickometer, and Fall Timer. We made in and out charts for the programs. We developed formulas that the Palm applications use. We also graphed our results. Then, we worked together as a class to compare our answers.
Next, we went to music and watched a skating video. The music was by a Russian composer. His birthday is Monday.
We read a pamphlet about First Aid for reading. After the pamphlet, we had independent reading time. One great book some students are reading is Stuart Little.
For WART, we went to the computer lab. We worked on Larson's Math and our Interactive Stories. They are close to being done. I can’t wait to read others’ stories online!
Lunch Time! We had pancakes and little smokies. The hashbrowns were good. The orange juice was very good. It was like a breakfast lunch.
After a great recess, we worked on our own model rockets. They are made out of film canisters and paper cards. We used a lot of tape! We had about 45 minutes to work.
Mr. Vincent started a new Read Aloud book on Monday. The book title is Crash. It is called Crash because the main character knocked down his cousin on Christmas Day when he got a football helmet. He is so good at football. He even broke the middle school record for the most touchdowns in one season. The book is really good and the whole class likes it.
After Read Aloud, the class got ready to go home. Everyone was excited that tomorrow is Friday!
