Finally the last day of the school week has come. As students rushed into the classroom they read the board which said, "Get the Fling It from Mr. Vincent or from another student and read it because you might get picked to be in Who wants to be a Winner." A fact I found was that Benjamin Franklin wanted the state bird to be a turkey instead of the Bald Eagle.

For math the Math Olympia kids went to Mrs. Wischow’s room . The rest of us stayed in the room and Mr. Vincent made up Thanksgiving story problems.
In Gymsic (gym and music) we square danced for most of the time. Until we had to do the Konga.

Next was WART (writing and reading time). We only did one thing in WART. All of us had to sync our handhelds and then print our I am poems. An I am poem is a poem where you pretend to be something that is non- living. Then you make up something that you think the non-living object would say or do if it was alive.

Then we did something we've never done before and it's called turkey carving. We could only use our teeth to carve a turkey out of the graham crackers. After 10 minutes, Mr. Vincent brought out the overhead (which we haven't used the whole year) and we had battles to see which turkey was best out of the class. Charlie was beating half of class because his turkey carving was the best looking. Next Dane beat Charlie. Then after a couple of turns Taylor H. beat Dane. Taylor H. ended up winning.

For art we made color wheels that consisted of the primary, secondary, and intermediate colors. We made them for our next art project.
Next we had lunch, which was chicken nuggets.

For the last part of the day, we got to watch a lucky person play Who Wants to be a Winner. Who Wants to be a Winner is a game show that Mr. Vincent made. It's a lot like Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Dean got to go to the hot seat and answer questions about Thanksgiving. Dean missed question number 5 with no lifelines left.

Finally, we got to leave school in anticipation of the long four day weekend. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
