Hey this is the second day of school since our wonderful Thanksgiving break. We all had loads of papers to get ready to check in. Before turning in our papers my classmates had to get the Roving Reporter article from Mr. Vincent that he wrote yesterday. He was the Roving Reporter, so after we all got ready to turn in our papers we did. After Opening, like always, we all have math. In math today we checked our Math Boxes 5.5 then when we were done checking, it Mr. Vincent taught us about changing fractions into decimals, and fraction stick charts, also probability meters and rename fractions with 10 or 100 in the denominator . We also had Math Boxes 5.7 and Study Link 5.7. There both due tomorrow.
After Math we had P.E. for the second time after the musical. Today in P.E, we played Hit-the-Stuffed-Balls-with-Softer-Balls, then we all played Volleyball. We really got a lot of exercise, and had a fantastic time.
Then after P.E, we all had W.A.R.T writing and reading time. Guess what we have? Our new book groups have been assigned. Books like Santa Paws and the New Puppy , School Spirit and some others are just some of the books students will be reading. Some students said " I think I might really like this book because it sounds very interesting".Next we had computer lab. We got to check and see how our grades are and I think most people’s grades were good. Then we also had to do Larson Intermediate Math and work on decimals, percents, and fractions.
Then it was lunch time. Lunch was ok but I don't really like French toast sticks. We all had inside recess because it was raining outside. We all played games like UNO and some people chose to draw. Recess went by really fast and before I knew it, it was already time for spelling.
In Spelling, we had a work sheet with little bubbles that we had to fill out. We had to decide if there were no errors, spelling errors punctuation errors etc.
Now it's time for Science. My classmates and I had to write a few notes about temperature and we took a quick Brain pop quiz. Without even studying, we got all the questions right! The title for our notes was “Heating It Up.” We also have to do on animation on Sketchy or make a drawing of convection, conduction, and radiation.
Finally it was time for Mr.Vincent to read aloud only this time we listened to a British man read Chapter 18 in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I think Mr. Vincent is a better reader, but you know that's just my opinion.
Thanks for reading my Roving Reporter see you next time.
