Today we woke up and were surprised to see snow on our front lawn. Too bad there wasn't enough to make a snowman.

Meanwhile, we had our opening to the school day. Our message on the board said to read our Time For Kids (TFK) magazine. There was all sorts of interesting articles like the Spotlight section highlighted a girl that could make about 15 turkey sounds. She must be extremely good to get in a magazine. Then Mr. Vincent collected all the papers from yesterday's assignments. He has to collect them personally now because we were getting too many late assignments.
Next, we had math. We all did a page together on rounding to the nearest hundredth, tenth, etc.

We've learned a lot of rounding. After that, some of us needed extra help and went to the back of the classroom with Mr. Vincent for help. The rest of us were at Math Olympiad or were doing something to do with math.

In addition, we had Gymsic. Today we did a dance that you had to get in groups of three and get in a line that is in a circle. Then you have to dance and then the middle person has to go up one group and you start all over. When it was time to go we were all yapping so we lost our recess. But we had to line up without talking or touching each other to get our recess back. Luckily we made it to the line. We had gotten our recess back!

Next we came back and had our spelling pre-test. This week our spelling rule is the suffix "able." A lot of us should have seen those words before. While the rest of us were working on spelling, we got a TFK worksheet to work on. It was on all the parts in the magazine.

Finally, we got to the most pleasant part of the day, Art. Today for Art we made a portrait of the American Gothic. We all were assigned a part and some of us had two. Mr. Vincent showed us pictures from his previous classes and they looked really good. When we are all done painting, we will hang it up on one of our walls in the classroom. It will probably be like putting a puzzle together.

Next, we had lunch. Today was our big potluck day! It is for people that don't get any late assignments! I have gone to every one this year. I wish everyone could come! I was so full when we were done!

Afterwards, we had to stop eating. We only had thirty more minutes. To finish the day we finished painting the American Gothic.

Finally, the bell rang and we were all excited to go home and play with all our friends. When we went outside we saw that all the snow had melted!
