All of Mr. Vincent's class came into room twelve while laughter echoed throughout the room. Today was the last day of school before Winter Break! As we said the" Pledge of Allegiance,” we knew that being a “Kid of Character” was extremely important. Next, we watched Willow Cam over Mr. Vincent's laptop. Although we didn't have the best connection, we still managed.

Our teacher then handed out17 invitations to the "no late assignment" potluck lunch on January 7. Unfortunately, twelve students in our class have had a late assignment this month.

Next, in math we got to play games on our handhelds because we finished our unit and test yesterday. We played two games. One was called Coconut Fern. "I don't know why it is called that because it is exactly like Connect Four," said Jordan. The other game was Checkers. We were going to play with a buddy but you could only play against a computer. When math was over we headed down to gym.

In gym Mrs. Lindeman (our gym teacher) took each child out of the game we were playing to take a test to see how high we could lift our chin while lying down. When we got back from gym we had science.

I bet everyone was nervous because we had to take our science test. While Mr. Vincent and Mrs. Milius graded them, we watched a movie called Rudy. It was about the life of a boy named Rudy and how he grew up. The movie was really long so we had to finish it after lunch and recess. Lunch was delicious and recess was so cold it sent shivers up my spine! We finished our movie and came back to get our test. We had fairly good grades but we could probably do better next time.

Around 2:45 we went to a all school sing-a-long. Everyone sounded so good and so loud I am sure that their throats hurt. Finally, we came back we had dismissal. Everyone put up their chairs and filled out their planners. Our only assignment was to bring back our reading chart with our 600 minutes completed on January 5. Finally, the bell rang. As the class exited, I heard everyone talking about their plans for Winter Vacation. Happy Holidays!
