Quack, Quack! This student figures out how to use BeepMaker on her handheld computer. Students are hard at work on PJ Day. The class plays a large game of dots and lines for a Survivor challenge. It is a difficult game.

Look at all of the pajama-wearing students. Looks comfy, eh? Pizza is served for Valentines Day. Come and get it! "Pin the Lips on Mr. Vincent" was entertaining.

Bags and bags of Valentines wait to be open. Book Groups meet to read good books. Nice nails for the DARE circus! The clown greets students at the circus. The circus was for all students who completed the DARE program.

The circus is fun to watch. Smile! Clowns entertain the crowd. We have good seats. Amazing dogs!

This motorcyle is suspended in the air. The pigs put on a show. A circus isn't complete without elephants! Mr. Vincent's kitten, Tucker, visits. Tucker spends some time hiding under the overhead cart.

Isn't he just the cutest?!? Spinning colors make white light. This is the last day for displaying our large "American Gothic" mosaic. Students play "Build It" to practice ordering fractions. There's another bus ride this month. This one is to the symphony.

We're ready to go! The bus ride is chilly. We travel to downtown Omaha. The Omaha Symphony plays at the Orpheum Theater. The Orpheum Theater is beautiful inside.

The symphony performance is relaxing to listen to. Fifth graders dissect eyeballs. The eyes come from cows. Students are grossed out and curious at the same time. Removing the cornea is difficult.

The removed cornea is very tough. Next, it's time to remove the iris and lens. Groups of five work together to learn about eyes. We wear gloves for obvious reasons. The retina is at the back of the eye.
