What would you do if you could have magic? In the book Circles in the Stream by Rachel Roberts, it tells you what three eleven-year-old girls did with theirs. And when they found their magic, they went on an adventure of their lives.
This is a very exciting book about a girl named Emily who just moved into town from Colorado. One day, Emily went exploring in Ravenswood Wildlife Preserve, and found a quite unusual stone that was multi-colored. The next day, Emily went back to the preserve and met a girl named Adriane and a ferret named Ozzie who became her first friends. A couple of days after their meeting, they found out the town council was trying to shut down the preserve. Together, they need to overrule the town council and keep Ravenswood open. They only need one more person to help them, the snotty, popular Kara Davies.
What I like about this book is all the magic. I liked how the author made it so I just wanted to keep reading turning the pages, and nothing could stop me. It is also a very exciting adventure book. This book is unlike any other book I have read before, and that is probably the main reason why I like it.
I think the theme or message of this book is that kids can do amazing things if they put their minds to it. Also if you try hard enough, you can get anything you want. And don't be afraid of doing anything. Just go out there and do it, because you never know what you might find.
