Have you ever read the book Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great? Well if you haven't, I suggest that you do! Let me tell you why you should read this book.
In the book Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great there is a girl named Sheila. She is absolutely afraid of dogs and swimming. One day her parents gave her and her sister a surprise! Since she lived in an apartment, their surprise was that they got to go live in a house for the summer. Sheila was not happy about this because she is afraid of swimming, and they also had a dog. One more thing that she is not happy about is that her mom is making her take swimming lessons.
There were so many great things about this book. The characters are one of my favorite things because they all have a great personality. Another thing that I like about this book is were the setting is because it is summer and they like to go to swimming. The last thing that I like about the book is that they go to a really cool day camp.
I think the author’s theme was to conquer you fears because at the end Sheila passed her swimming test and loved to swim. The other thing was that she was no longer afraid of dogs. I hope that you enjoyed my book review because Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great was the best book I have ever read! Thank you.
