Skateboard Tough
by Matthew Christopher

The author of this delightful book is Matthew Christopher. This book is about a boy named Brett Tyson who finds a skateboard in his yard. He improves his skateboarding skills because of this new skateboard.

This book is about Brett Tyson. He is the main character. He finds a skateboard in his yard. He becomes a better skateboarder because this one is double tailed. He writes a note to the government saying that they should build a skateboarding rink in town so that skateboarders can skate all they want. But the lady across the street built one in her back yard so that kids can skateboard in her yard because she thought about his note. Then later in the book she assigned a competition for all the skateboarders.

A lesson you can learn in this book is do not brag at things you find first or do better or people will dislike you. They will also try to convince you to stop, and you will be annoyed after a while. You also would feel uncool after a while.
You could also learn that you can get in big trouble by taking things that don't belong to you. Another lesson is do things as a note or message tells you to do.
