The Tiger Rising

I am here to to tell you about a book called The Tiger Rising by Kate Dicarmillo. I thought this was a great story. I hope you will think the same from my review and might want to read it. Let's get started.

You're at the part in this review where I'll tell you a summary of this book, so here it goes. The Tiger Rising is about a boy named Rob. His mother died of cancer, and his dad doesn't talk to him about her. Basically Rob finds a tiger in the woods and then a girl named Sistine grows close to Rob (as friends). Rob tells Sistine about the tiger and they go on an adventure to save the tiger. But a man named Beauchamp (the hotel and tiger owner) and Willie May (a nice lady that gives the two useful advise) make the adventure a really thrilling and sorrowful one.

The things that I like about this book are the description that the author gives to you. It makes it so much more easy to make a visual picture in your mind. The second thing I liked about this book was just the story line. It was a great combination with Sistine, Rob, and the tiger. The last thing that was great about this book was that I thought it was excellent. I don't know why but even though I thought this book was really good on it's own, I liked it a lot for some unknown reason. Now let's go on to to the story's theme.

I really believe that the theme of this story was that life is tough, but you have got to give it your all. Also you have to believe in everything you do. This is true because Rob had a tough life but he dealt with it, and even though it didn't go exactly the way he planned, it was all for the better. Another way this is true is that Sistine and Rob put all their faith and alot effort into freeing the tiger. It's time to wrap it up, so if you want to hear my closing thoughts read on.

Thanks for reading. I'll be having another book review very soon, so pay attention. This has been a book review brought to you by Patrick, and I'll see you later (hopefully)!
