What
Means
to Me

Do you want to know why I'm going to say no to tobacco? People won't want to be around me. It could kill me. Plus, I could get in trouble.
First people won't want to be around me, because I would be smelly, out of breath, and in trouble. If I smell, nobody will want to play with me. If I'm out of breath, I can't play sports. If I'm in trouble, I can't play with my friends.
Second it could kill me because I could get lung cancer and mouth cancer. If I got mouth cancer, I would look very, very weird because of all the surgeries. Deputy Rieder let me see a picture of a person who had mouth cancer. Boy, did he look weird. If I got lung cancer, I would have to go to the hospital and could die.
Third, I could get in trouble if I got caught in school or if I was under 18. If I got caught in school, I would be in big trouble. My parents would ground me for a long time. If I was under 18 and got caught by the police, I could go to jail.
The reasons why I am going to say no are it could kill me, people won't want to be around me, plus I could get in trouble. I'm glad I took the DARE program or else I would not know all of these things. Plus, I'm glad I did the DARE program or else I would have problems in life.
