I have learned many different things about drugs. DARE has taught me a lot of stuff such as drugs are very harmful and they can kill me. Drugs can be bad things for people and people do not like it.

There are 2 kinds of tobacco. They are smoking and chewing tobacco. I’m going to stay away from both. Smoking is bad for me. People who smoke smell bad. Smoking can kill me. I could become addicted and maybe get cancer. Chewing is bad for me, too. I could get cancer of the mouth because of chewing tobacco. Chew smells really bad and is gross. People can become very addicted. People can get hooked on chewing and smoking and have problems letting the habit go.

Alcohol is a beverage that is very bad for my body. Alcohol causes your running to slow down and if you drink too much you may get sick. Some people are in car accidents because they are drinking too much. I can prevent that by not drinking.

I’m not going to use any types of drugs because they destroy parts of my body. I may have to go to the hospital if I hurt my body with drugs. DARE taught me to stay away from things that will hurt me. I am glad that I had DARE in 5th grade so I will be smart and make good choices to stay away from drugs.
