WhatDAREMeans to Me
by Tiffany

Do you know what drugs can do to you? In DARE, I learned a lot of things. Most importantly I learned about how drugs can affect me. Some ways drugs can affect me are lung cancer, it could destroy my liver, or it could make me have less breath.

In addition, if I smoke I could get lung cancer. I could get lung cancer by inhaling the chemicals. People say that there are over 100 chemicals in Drugs. Drugs can damage your whole entire body. That is one reason that I choose not to smoke.

If I drink alcohol then there is a chance that it could destroy my liver. I don't want that to happen! If my liver got destroyed, then I could get poisoned. The liver is very important because it is part of my body and I would be sad if I did not have my liver. How does it destroy my liver? If I drink and my liver gets destroyed there would be nothing to take the poison out of my body. Those are some reasons that I don't want to drink.

Last but not least I learned that if you smoke then you could get less breath. You can get less breath by smoking. If I get less breath I could easily get tired or I may not be able to run as far. Maybe I may not be able to run at all. I think running is good for me. I think running is very fun and it gets me exercise. That is why I don't want to smoke.

Because of what drugs have done to other people and what they could do to me I choose not to do drugs. I will never in my life do drugs!! I also want to give thanks to Deputy Reider for teaching me how to say NO to drugs. From taking DARE I know I will never do drugs. Thank you Deputy Reider.
